Case Study: Driving Dimension with VMO at Sonar Music Festival

In June 2024, we launched our first partnership with pioneering Japanese music and art collective, Violent Magic Orchestra, or “VMO,” during their inaugural performance at the famed Sonar Music Festival in Barcelona, Spain.  

Legitimate Tags were seamlessly embedded into the brands limited edition merchandise, and available for sale at the Sonar merchandise booth.

After hovering over the Tag with your phone (no app or crypto wallet required) the item was verified to the purchaser, using blockchain technology. The Tag also unlocked a key visual NFT of VMO and the gaming rave collaboration, only available via the Hat.

Extending the value of artist merchandise through NFC’s provides fans with unique and unparalleled access to money-can’t-buy experiences, and gives the artist an exciting and innovative new way to surprise and delight consumers.

The brand value is extended over time, as something as simple as a piece of merchandise provides a unique access point and marketing channel for ongoing consumer engagement.
